September and the Harvest season @ the Juke Joint Today 3pm kunr.org

September 26, 2015

Spending my time in big time recovery....  internal rehabilitation from last week's wildly diverse and entertaining Millpond festival in Bishop, California (more on that lator),,,, so i cranked out a "september shout out" songs and a "harvest reaping up the season" to round out the second hour of the radio show today....  a fine effort at radio repercussion for the extravagance of my readjustment and reinstatement back to civilian life....   ah, so much for the role of emceeing behind the one and only, love-able and excentric Joe Craven (really spelled "Crave-fun").. what a gem, and then you couple that with being on stage with David Myles (swear his sam cooke reconstituted), Alan Jeffries (on of the Canadian kings of eastern flaltpickin' - right in there with JP Cormier), Richard Smith, Incendio, David Gunning (songwriting's poet gem), Banana Slug boy - Larry & Doug, Cafe Musique, Tony Furtado and so many more.....    So the music was on a level as high as those lofty sierra's behind the stage....    And, then toss in for great taste all the volunteers, old friends, Lynn Cooper and the Inyo Council for the Arts (along with fiddlin' pete and Kathryn - what a dancer) and all the folks back at camp.....    the food the time and all too short....     Thankx also for the weather, which allowed a lot of pickin into the wee hours.....  way fun, so soon after i pick up the pieces, clean the trailer "suite P" out and get some chores done, i will publish some pics and continue on with life....    lator - jim

public radio supporters & pledgers to kunr - thankx!

When i started in 1989 as a volunteer host for Folk, Bluegrass and Beyond, I really had no idea what a difference you all make....

Your support for KUNR & KNCC and the music that we bring is so important and extemely remarkable.....

It's as if we are one big family that can make an outstanding contribution to the community at large, and as so many of you surely have done it with your pledges of support when you can.

It is, and always will be,  most greatly appreciated.
